MODULE ONE
- I'm Okay, You're Not! (Points out our own behaviors that others may see as “difficult”)
- Give Me One Good Reason (Helps participants see how understanding difficult people will help them)
MODULE TWO
- What Are Their Intentions? (This section talks about why difficult people act the way they do)
- Bulldozers, Crybabies, and Dynamite (Begins the discussion of specific “difficult” behaviors, such as tanks, know-it-alls, snipers, whiners, yes people, no people, nothing people, and others)
- Do This, Don’t Do That... (Describes the most effective way to deal with each of the difficult behaviors being discussed)
MODULE THREE
- Anger – It’s Only Natural (A brief review of different types of anger)
- 9 Ways to Stay Cool, Calm, & Collected (Specific tips on how to stay calm)
- 8 Simple Survival Skills (8 skills for anger management)
- It's MY Choice (Personal action plan)
Outcomes
Participants will learn and begin to master:
- How to recognize their own difficult behavior
- Understanding why difficult people are difficult
- Specific ways to deal with difficult people
- How to stay calm in difficult situations
- Constructive ways to deal with anger
